Between us we’ve filmed in deserts, ships, rainforests, glaciers, helicopters, rivers, oceans and alpine peaks across five continents. Our short-form documentaries have screened globally with recognition including BAFTAS and WILDSCREEN nominations, and we’re just getting started…

Keeping it light

We keep the team small so we can move fast, move light, and minimise our environmental impact.

MEET THE TEAM

Liam Strong

  • Hailing from California, Liam blends a background in live events, Sea Shepherd field campaigns, and international wildlife productions with a deep technical skillset. A natural problem-solver with a love for exploration, he brings precision and grit to every shoot, driven by the passion to tell stories that move people to protect the world around them.

Remy Tarasin

  • Remy began his journey as an environmental scientist before turning to film to connect more people with the natural world. Drawn to remote, alpine environments, he thrives in snow, sleet, and heavy winds, capturing stories where human resilience meets wild landscapes, always with a lens of hope and possibility.

George Robinson-Hill

  • George brings a cinematic eye to the wild. With a background in narrative and drama filmmaking, he now channels that storytelling craft into documentary work. Often found waist-deep in cold water, camera in hand, tracking seals or penguins. His passion for underwater filmmaking and marine life drives much of Scrubjay’s aquatic storytelling.

With our headquarters in London, UK and bases in Australia and the USA, Scrubjay Films can operate smoothly and efficiently around the globe in unison and remotely. Our wider footprint and global talent collective means we can reduce travel impact, collaborate with local knowledge, and stay nimble enough to take on shoots across a wider range of environments.

It’s this model that allows us to chase stories wherever they live, while keeping things efficient, affordable, and environmentally conscious. Positioning ourselves to uncover and tell compelling stories from diverse environments around the world, and our global reach means we’re never far from the next expedition!
